In 2022, SERMAG obtained the Remade certification, issued by the international certification body RINA.

Remade In Italy is an environmental product certification that allows for the declaration of the recycled or by-product content, expressed as a percentage, within a material, where at least one significant phase of the production process has taken place in Italy.

The certification scheme requires the development of a traceability plan for materials and internal flows, continuous supplier monitoring, and the classification of incoming materials, thus ensuring maximum transparency, accurate processes, and care throughout.

SERMAG included in the certification the registered trademarks RIPLASTENE®, RILETILENE® and RIMAGLENE®, all 100% recycled Secondary Raw Materials, classified as A+ according to the Remade In Italy standard.

The BYSERPLENE® by-products were also classified as A+, meaning they contain 100% recovered material.

The RINNO-V-ENE® products were also certified by RINA and classified as A. The certification ensures the use of at least 60% recycled material in the TPE-O and TPO compounds.

During the renewal audit in September 2023, the PCRPOMIX® product family was added to the certification. It includes recycled HDPE granules for blow molding and film extrusion.

The certification process that SERMAG has initiated in recent years brings great transparency to its customers, who consciously choose to purchase recycled raw materials over virgin ones, knowing they are buying certified, safe, tested products with high quality standards.
