In 2024, Sermag commissioned a CFP study to calculate the carbon footprint of its products.

The study was conducted by Consorzio Proplast and covered a wide range of recycled products, for which carbon dioxide equivalent emission values ​​were obtained directly from production.

The reduction in emissions for a 100% recycled material compared to its virgin counterpart ranges from 60% to 90%, confirming the absolute importance of recycling and the emissions savings resulting from the use of regenerated material.

The study was also verified and certified by the IMQ body, which issued a verification opinion in accordance with the ISO 14067:2018 standard.
