In May 2024, Sermag voluntarily decided to measure its own sustainability performance and ESG parameters through EcoVadis, a globally trusted provider of corporate sustainability assessments with a worldwide network of over 130,000 evaluated companies.

EcoVadis’ sustainability assessment methodology is based on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the UN Global Compact, and ISO 26000. It evaluates how a company has integrated Sustainability / CSR principles into its business and management systems.

The questionnaire and resulting sustainability scorecard are based on 21 indicators divided into four themes:

• Environment
• Labor and Human Rights
• Ethics
• Sustainable Procurement

The EcoVadis assessment standard is globally recognized and allows companies to obtain an accurate report on the practices implemented to improve their sustainability, and to benchmark themselves against others in the same industry.

Sermag obtained the Silver badge, ranking in the top 15% of companies in its sector—an important result that confirms the sound direction of its corporate policy.

In April 2025, our Silver rating was confirmed, with an increase in the overall score from 68 to 71 and an improvement in our ranking from the 87th to the 90th percentile.
