In 2024, Sermag commissioned a CFP study to calculate the Carbon Footprint of its products.

The study was conducted by Consorzio Proplast and covered a wide range of recycled products, for which carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) emission values were obtained directly from the production process.

The emission reduction of a 100% recycled material compared to its virgin equivalent ranges from 60% to 90%, confirming the crucial importance of recycling and the emission savings resulting from the use of regenerated material.

The study was also verified and certified by IMQ, which issued a verification opinion in accordance with the ISO 14067:2018 standard.
