In May 2024, Sermag decided to voluntarily measure its performance in sustainability and ESG parameters through EcoVadis, a globally trusted provider of corporate sustainability assessments that has established a worldwide network of more than 130,000 assessed companies.
EcoVadis’ sustainability assessment methodology is built on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the UN Global Compact and ISO 26000, and assesses how well a company has integrated Sustainability / CSR principles into its business and management system.
The questionnaire and resulting sustainability scorecard are based on 21 indicators divided into four themes:
- Environment
- Labor practices and human rights
- Ethics
- Sustainable Procurement
The EcoVadis assessment standard is globally recognized and allows companies to get an accurate report regarding the practices put in place to increase their sustainability and be able to compare themselves with other companies in the same industry.
Sermag was awarded the Silver badge, ranking in the top 15% of companies in its sector, an important achievement that confirms the right direction of the company policy it is pursuing.
